Systems Development Services

Edward Stow provides contract systems development for projects that require novel solutions. These projects are typically in a new area that requires exploration of the solution space and then selection of an appropriate technology.

Projects include development of:

• Nokia N800 handheld structured interview system to collect questionairre information from small businesses using the Hildon desktop environment, GTK and python.
• Web based javascript based structured interview system for small business evaluations.
• Evaluation of php based development frameworks resulting in the selection of Prado framework.
• Development of an ordering system for council certificates including a payment gateway.
• Development of an information system for medical general practice accreditation.
• For the Co-operative Research Centre for Viticulture provided supervised a team of two programming staff, and five consultants in the development of the AusVit vineyard management and decision support system.

These systems have been developed using these languages:

• python,
• php,
• javascript,
• adobe flex,
• smalltalk, and
• java.

Database systems have been developed using

• MySql, and
• Sqlite.

Operating systems used are

• Linux, including Ubuntu, CentOS and Debian,
